Tax Issues Affecting the CT Production Scene is Topic of October Meeting

Are you paying more taxes than you need to as a small company in the video production industry?  Are you aware of the tax exemption for motion picture video and sound equipment?  Come to the October 14th meeting of MCAICT at Tripeg Studios and find out more about the tax issues and breaks that could affect you.  The meeting will revolve around a panel discussion with an accountant, a tax attorney and producers to identify some of the more common tax questions and provide helpful solutions.

October is the time of year that municipalities collect information for their Grand Lists to assess property taxes.  It is also the time to file your equipment exemption.  If you don’t know about this exemption or if you have any questions about the CT Sales & Use Tax and applicable exemptions, this meeting is for you.

Connecticut has a fairly broad range of tax breaks and incentives for the film, video and media industry.  Many smaller companies don’t really understand how they work. They often pay more taxes than they need to, or scramble for paperwork the week before an audit.

Don’t miss this informative meeting that could help you get the answers to your tax questions.

Join us on October 14th  at 6:30 p.m.  Stay connected, stay informed.
