Never mind “Where’s Waldo….” Who? Dale Cihi, President and owner of Videofilm Systems, Inc. and Stage 18 in Norwalk, CT is busier than ever. Over a career spanning 30 years, Dale, an experienced IMAX camera op, engineer and broadcast video rental veteran, has now expanded into a new state of the art career. Dale has become the busiest display systems designer and integrator in today’s market. He has re-invented his career yet again. Dale decided 3 years ago to venture into large screen projection and has since designed some of the most visually exciting sets in television today, live concerts events as well as museum exhibits. Currently he is responsible for the systems upgrade installation in hi def studios such as Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, CBS News with Katie Couric, CBS Sports, Boomer Esiason Show, Chanel Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, on tour with Jon Anderson of YES and the Bronx Zoo’s Tiger Mountain Exhibit to name a few. Currently Dale is on set at the new CBS game show “Power of 10”with Drew Carey, where he has installed a curved screen 38’ wide x 15’ high, while designing a exhibit at the MOCA Museum in Los Angeles projecting 42’ of contemporary art utilizing over 18 individual projectors mounted almost 30’ above ground. With barely time to breath, Dale still maintains Stage 18, one of the only drive on television sound stages in Southern Fairfield County. Stage 18 is busy with commercial and film shoots as well as its long standing corporate clients. To say Dale is busy is an understatement, but he’ll always take the time to tell you “about the coolest thing he just ordered on WOOT!” |
