Welcome back MCAICT members!  We hope you had an enjoyable and energizing summer.  As a leading trade association representing media communications professionals in the CT region, we have great plans for the upcoming year.  Our September Kickoff meeting is just around the corner and the newly elected board is very busy gearing up for a year of extraordinary meetings, educational programs, professional development seminars and networking opportunities for your benefit.  Please check our website mcaict.org for updates.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Osi Korn, our outgoing President, for her leadership and for effectively continuing the groundwork laid by Past President Jamie Boss.  We’d also like to thank board member Craig Mikhitarian for spearheading the production of the Media Resources Guide DVD.  This successful project will help promote our members to many prospective clients and employers.

This year we have an exceptional board - seasoned members, John Ferrante as Secretary, Craig Mikhitarian as Treasurer and Membership Chair, and Francie Anne Riley as Member-at-Large for Communications; returning members Steve Washer as President-Elect, and Diane Ploch in charge of Communications and the bimonthly eNewsletter; and some new blood, Guy Ortoleva as Student Liaison, and Brian Connolly as Member-at-Large for Programming.  Thank you all for volunteering your time and talents.

You’ve heard this before and it’s just as true today as it ever was – the best way to get the most out of your chapter membership is to get involved in whatever way you can.  Attend as many meetings as you can, suggest a meeting topic, help out with setting up a monthly meeting, give us your feedback on meeting topics, meeting locations, our website, let us know what you like, what needs improving.  Step up.
